Fidelity Ireland’s CSR program enables our associates to make a long-term, positive difference in the communities where they live and work through volunteering opportunities and sharing their talents and skill sets. Through meaningful partnerships with selected organisations, we are focused on giving back to local communities and encouraging STEM education.
Fidelity is a long standing supporter of Junior Achievement Ireland with a relationship spanning over 15 years. Last year, 45 Fidelity volunteers delivered a number of JAI programs to primary and secondary schools across Dublin and Galway, connecting with over 1100 students.
In 2018, Fidelity Ireland launched a partnership with Scoil Bhride Secondary School in Tuam, to support them as they pilot the computer science leaving certificate curriculum. The partnership entails a multifaceted approach to supporting this all-girls school on its objective to increase the uptake in STEAM [science, technology, engineering, arts and maths].
Fidelity Investments provided €84,200 in cash donations; €29,000 was contributed through in-kind donations and €24,686 was raised through employee fundraising. Employees also volunteered 3,682 hours to local groups and projects during the year.
