Sustainability Auditor

Business in the Community Ireland (BITCI) is excited to invite candidates to apply for the position of Sustainability Auditor in the Business Working Responsibly Mark programme within the Advisory team. ‘The Mark’ is one of Business in the Community’s flagship services and forms the foundation of the Advisory service strategy.

The purpose of this role is to guide a portfolio of companies through the Business Working Responsibly Mark, Ireland’s leading sustainability certification process.  

 JOB SUMMARY 

  •  Role is based in Dublin (hybrid role, office base is Dublin 7), 
  • Full- Time Role 35 hours per week-Permanent Contract
  • Salary €45,000 – €54,000 DOE (Salary band 12). 
  • Expertise and knowledge of Management System ideally with hands on audit experience (e.g. ISO) developed through a third level degree, or a similar qualification in a relevant discipline, and/or through relevant experience within industry and/or non-profit/NGOs 
  • Preparing new and recertifying companies for the Initial/Reassessment process 
  • Strong organisational, analytical, communication and writing skills. 
  • The ability to work independently and exercise objectivity. 
  • The ability to work collaboratively as a team member. 
  • The ability to coach and mentor others in audit practices.

You will engage with businesses to match jobseekers to job opportunities and support both employer and employee in sustaining employment.  

JOB SUMMARY: 

  •  A qualification in Coaching, Adult Guidance, Youth Work or similar would be an advantage, 
  •  Role is based in Dublin 7 Head Office plus up to 1 day per week in a satellite office location in Dublin West area.  Hybrid working model, min 2 days in the office, Travel required, driving licence beneficial, 
  • Salary Band 11 (€35,000- €41,500 FTE) depending on experience, Full time 35 hrs a week, 
  • Experience working in the Disability or Community sector or Recruitment is an advantage,

Senior Sustainability Adviser – Environment

Business in the Community Ireland is excited to invite candidates to apply for the position of Senior Sustainability Adviser – Environment for the support of the Advisory Services Team in line with the overall organisational objectives. Business in the Community Ireland (BITCI) is a movement for change and a unique organisation. Our purpose is to inspire, challenge and facilitate businesses to bring about a sustainable, low carbon economy and more inclusive society where everyone thrives.   For over 20 years, we’ve been trusted advisers across the Economic, Environmental, Social, and Governance (EESG) dimensions of sustainability ensuring our network of businesses builds capacity, ambition and leadership.  

 The purpose of this role is to drive member engagement in the network with responsibility for environmental initiatives, providing specialist expertise on climate, carbon and environmental services together with direct relationship management for a portfolio of member companies.  

JOB SUMMARY 

  • Role is based in Dublin (hybrid role, office base is Dublin 7), 
  • Permanent, Full- Time Role 35 hours per week 
  • Salary €52,096- €61,864 DOE 
  • At least 8 years’ experience of working directly with business, or in business advisory organisations or relevant non-profit/NGOs, in a corporate sustainability, climate or related function.  Relevant degree, or equivalent professional experience, required 
  • Design and deliver workshops and events (in-person/hybrid/virtual) on environmental sustainability suitable 
  • Experience in account management and client relationship management ideally in an advisory role
