Working with community groups to partner with business

Artane-Band

Through our work advising companies on engaging with their communities through employee volunteering, we have developed expertise in identifying strategic community partners all over Ireland.

Many companies encourage their employees to volunteer their skills, time and manpower to local voluntary organisations for positive social impact. There are two primary forms of volunteering – skills based and practical. Here are some examples of each:

Skills based volunteering- such as HR, Marketing, Finance, Information Technology, Legal and Strategic/Business planning.

Practical Help – such as painting and decorating of buildings, gardening, improving the environment through clean-ups, spring cleaning, preparing packs for an event.

If you are a community group and have any of the needs identified above and have the capacity to work with business, Business in the Community would like you to hear from you. Please contact Shane Mulchrone, Community Engagement Specialist on 01-874 7432 or by email smulchrone@bitc.ie
