Sinéad Patton

Chief Financial and Commercial Officer of Veolia in Ireland and its Regional Director for Northern Ireland, Sinead Patton joined the energy division of the Veolia Group as its Financial Controller in early 2005.

In the intervening years, she has held various positions within the Group, including Financial Director, until assuming her current responsibilities across the Group’s full remit of the energy, water and waste management services on the island of Ireland in 2018. Veolia’s Purpose is to contribute to human progress by firmly committing to the Sustainable Development Goals set by the UN to achieve a better and more sustainable future for all. It is with this aim in mind that Veolia sets itself the task of “Resourcing the world” through its environmental services business, focused on helping organisations to sustainably manage their energy, water and waste Resources.

A key member of the leadership team charged with bringing to life Veolia’s Purpose and identity of Resourcing the World via Ecological Transformation​, Sinead​ is passionate about helping others achieve their potential. She has embodied this in her co-chairing of the Business in the Community Leaders subgroup on Social Inclusion since 2018, seeing the publication of the Inclusive Employer Blueprint in 2019 and more recently, the launch of Elevate, the Inclusive Workplace Pledge.

Prior to joining Veolia, Sinead secured a Masters in Accounting from the Michael Smurfit Business School and worked in Georgia Pacific and KPMG. In her spare time she enjoys getting out in nature, whether walking, running or cycling.
