Bróna Ní Chobhthaigh

Bróna Ní Chobhthaigh joined Business in the Community Ireland in July 2022. Prior to this Bróna worked in the community sector in Dublin, in Government in Ireland and the European Commission, and in economic consultancy across Europe.

Bróna has a comprehensive background in environmental, economic and social policy design and delivery for clients and public sector bodies across Europe, including the public sector response to carbon emissions, estimating the economic value of workplace well-being models and drawing on behavioural science for outcomes focused financial services design. Bróna has considered experience in strategic communications holding a senior role in the reform of government communications and leading cross-Government national engagement strategies and campaigns.

Bróna was a co-founder of the Civil Service Women’s Network, is co-Chair of the Irish Society for Women in Economics and is an active co-ordinating member of the Dublin Food Co-Op.

Bróna holds a B.A. in Economics and Philosophy (TCD), an M.Litt in Economic History (UCD) and an M.Sc. in Economics (TCD).
