BINGOPwC, together with youth and community organisation “Localise”, held a fundraising bingo event with the 6th class students from St Laurence O’Toole’s School, Seville Place, Dublin 1 on Friday 24 May to support Lourdes Elderly Daycare Centre on Sean MacDermott Street.

This was PwC’s fifth year partnering with Localise and the local school to devise a “Caring in the Community” project, and involved a team of 14 volunteers from PwC working with the students since February.  The team of PwC volunteers coached and mentored the students to develop their skills and talents and to help them understand the importance of teamwork and how to plan, manage and implement a project.  The outcome was a very successful event in the PwC offices, where money raised totalled €3,260.

The children have since been presented with their “Community Service” certificates at a graduation ceremony in PwC’s offices, attended by the students, their families and teachers.
