International Women’s Day at Accenture

accenture2In March Accenture Ireland celebrated International Women’s Day with over 1,100 clients, students and staff at the Convention Centre Dublin, on the morning of the 6th March.

The morning consisted of two panels of inspirational speakers. The first outstanding Leaders panel advised that in order to be successful, we need to take care of both body and mind – Shine, Share, Collaborate. Our Spotlight on Start Ups panel encouraged us all to get more involved in the start-up community.

AccentureThe audience also heard from 5 inspirational entrepreneur leaders who are carving a path to success and specified that there is a world of opportunities out there. Natasha Fennell addressed us on The Art of Confidence while the awe-inspiring ten year old Lauren Boyle taught us that age really does not matter in the digital world.

Some of the highlights included an impressive Tech Showcase alongside captivating performances from Accenture Ireland’s very own Monica Donlon, Aimee Farrell Courtney (a world champion Bodhrán player) and of course the ever extraordinary Accenturephonics.

The event was trending on Twitter by 8.30am in the morning and continued until 10pm that night, 6 hours of which the event was no.1 in Ireland. The ripple effect reached over 734,000 people.
