SSE Airtricity, Ireland’s leading supplier of renewable power, took home the Green Energy Provider Award at the 2022 Green Energy Awards.
This year’s awards ceremony took place at a gala dinner at the Clayton Hotel in Dublin. and was attended by Minister for the Environment, Climate, Communications and Transport, Eamon Ryan T.D., who delivered a special address on the night. Former President of Ireland and Chair of The Elders, Mary Robinson also addressed the audience as she accepted the Green Leader 2022 award.
Launched in 2008, the Green Awards recognise the extraordinary contribution and commitment that companies now make towards growing a greener future in Irish business. This is the fifth time SSE Airtricity has claimed top prize in the Green Energy category having previously collected the award in 2008, 2010, 2011 and 2017. SSE’s Galway Wind Park was also a double winner in 2018 taking the prize for overall Green Business of the Year and Green Construction Project of the year.
On collecting the award, Stuart Hobbs, Director of SSE Airtricity Energy Services, said:

SSE Airtricity’s Generation Green Home Upgrade partner An Post was also among the winners having collected the Green Financial Services Award for their contribution to supporting customers wanting to make greener choices.
