On Wednesday 23 October, Ulster Bank HR jointly organised a Career Clinic day with Jobcare, a Dublin based charity, founded 20 years ago to help unemployed people find work. The clinic took place in George’s Quay and Jobcare premises to support unemployed professionals and graduates.

Over 150 Jobcare clients attended the clinic and were involved in over 400 interactions with our staff. HR staff facilitated mock interviews, plus 15 workshops on a variety of subjects ie writing CVs, preparing for an interview, assertiveness & self confidence, communications & personal brand. There were also 1-1 clinic stations covering mentoring, volunteering, CV advice, interview advice, assertiveness & self confidence, personal brand and communications.

The event was a great success and Paul Mooney, CEO from Jobcare said,

A huge thank-you to the Ulster Bank staff who gave their time and expertise to help our job seeking clients. We are so impressed with all the hard work and commitment Ulster Bank put into the event to make it a major success. A lot of time was spent on preparatory work which was evident in the quality of interactions.

This is a great example of using our skills and experience to do the right thing
