RTÉ support for Dress for Success Dublin

BITCI News - Mar 24, 2014

rtedressforsuccessThis year RTÉ supported Dress for Success Dublin in their annual awareness and donation campaign. Over and above donations from RTÉ Wardrobe Department, and from RTÉ staff, RTÉ also created a short film and series of clips featuring some of the female professionals who work for RTÉ (both on air and behind the scenes) explaining why they were delighted to support the campaign and telling the story behind their chosen item for donation.  The resulting social media traction and sharing of this proved invaluable to the charity in helping to raise awareness and support from other companies.

Dress for Success Dublin helps women get into the workforce, by providing a range of free services including suiting or workwear for interview, job application advice and ongoing career mentoring. With the help of volunteers and corporate donors, Dress for Success has given over 300 women across the Dublin the clothing, the confidence and the coaching they need to realize their full potential.

RTÉ is committed to equality both in its workforce and in its representation of Irish society.  We were therefore delighted to support this organisation which is proactively addressing equal opportunities.
