Business in the Community Ireland congratulated the first recipients of CORE, the Standard awarded by sister organisation Business in the Community Northern Ireland. The companies to be awarded the standard are: Adelaide Insurance, Allen & Overy, Allstate NI, B/E Aerospace, Belfast Harbour Commissioners, BT, Firmus energy, George Best Belfast City Airport, Greiner Packaging, H&J Martin, Henry Brothers (Magherafelt) Ltd., Invest NI, McLaughlin & Harvey and Ulster Bank.
Business in the Community Ireland in particular congratulates BT and Ulster Bank who are also members of Business in the Community Ireland.
CORE is a Standard designed to help organisations in Northern Ireland demonstrate that they are responsible businesses. Business in the Community Ireland run the National Standards Authority of Ireland-audited Business Working Responsibly Mark. The Mark is based on the global guidance standard for social responsibility, ISO 26000.
