On Friday 17th May PM Group Architects were delighted to support the Simon Open Door fundraising initiative. Niall Brunswick, Shauna Sweeney, Niamh Peare, Peter Carroll, Paul O’Callaghan and Kieran McGrath engaged in 16 consultations and advised on everything from extensions and remodeling works to one off houses.

Una Lawlor from Sandyford had this to say about the experience “I really enjoyed taking part in the Simon Open Door 2019 with PM Group. I saw it advertised on TV and initially wasn’t sure about signing up, but I found the whole experience very enjoyable. Meeting Shauna in her office was a whole new experience for me and her time, enthusiasm and creativity was very refreshing. The Simon Open Door is a fantastic idea for a very worthwhile charity and I was delighted to play a small part in it.”

Niall Brunswick, PM Group Architect said “I found the whole experience to be very satisfying and engaging. It was great to spend time with people in our local community advising them develop the next stages of what can typically be a very stressful experience. Hopefully we managed to alleviate some of their concerns and set them on the right path for their future projects.  The team here really enjoyed the Simon Open Door experience and are eager to continue this again next year.

Almost €145,000 was raised for the Simon Communities of Ireland by this initiative this year. 1481 hours were donated by Architects all over the country = 62 days of non-stop consultations!
