Technology has a huge impact on the way we all live. Virgin Media Ireland want to help make sure people get the very best from it.  Their Corporate Social Responsibility strategy is focused on Doing Digital for Good.  This is Virgin Media Ireland long-standing promise to make sure the power of connectivity benefits their customers and the communities they are part of.

Virgin Media Ireland have partnered with Coder Dojo for a number of years which is a key element of bringing their strategy to life.

Recently, members of senior management of Virgin Media Ireland provided classes in coding and digital skills for pupils of St. Mary’s National School, Fairview, as part of our nationwide support for Coder Dojo which provides children with the opportunity to learn skills to benefit their studies and careers in later life.

In the photos above you can see examples of the type of projects that Virgin Media employees got involved with on the day. Anna Maria Barry, Virgin Media’s Corporate Communications General Manager supported pupils Tori O’ Shea and Lucille Quillinan to power their CoderDojo project using a circuit board and electrons from a banana. While Paul Farrell Virgin Media’s Vice-President of Commercial and Sorcha Judge – helped pupils Alice Wally and Favour Hammlat (12) with their project.
