Bank of Ireland announces priority banking hour for over 65s and carers

Members News - Mar 23, 2020

19 March 2020  Bank of Ireland has today announced that its branches will prioritise older customers and carers at the beginning of the day to help them avoid busier and more crowded periods during the COVID-19 outbreak.

From today we are offering a priority service for over 65s and carers in our branches between 10 am and 11 am, Monday to Friday, until further notice. Alternatively, over 65s and carers who are unable to come into a branch can call 1800 946 146 (9.30 am-4.30 pm Mon-Fri).

Bank of Ireland branches remain open and have implemented extensive COVID-19 measures to protect customers and staff:

  • Safe queuing systems are in place (distancing, queuing ropes, floor markers) and staff are supporting customers with these guidelines
  • We may limit the number of customers entering a branch at any one time to ensure compliance with HSE recommendations
  • The appropriate hygiene and cleaning procedures are deployed across all branches and offices.

Customers can contact Bank of Ireland to review a range of dedicated COVID-19 supports. Visit www.Bankofireland.com .
