Upcoming Event: December 10th- Annual Network Meeting
Our Annual Members Network meeting will take place in the Guinness Storehouse on 10th December at 10.30am. CSR managers of some of the largest companies in Ireland will join us to share best practice and look at sustainability plans for 2014.
Celia Moore, IBM, Director of Corporate Citizenship and Corporate Affairs (Europe, Middle East and Africa) will be our keynote speaker. Celia coordinates IBM’s Corporate Responsibility across the EMEA region, is currently Chair of the Board of Directors of CSR Europe and also sits on the European Academy of Business in Society. Celia will share with us her insights on such topics as IBM’s business case for corporate responsibility, their top priorities and approaches, and emerging trends from Europe.
Given our strategic project this year on Stakeholder Engagement, Bart Moriarty, Manager Infrastructure Stakeholder, ESB Networks, will also present the key insights from the recently published report. Additionally we will hear from member companies, including Naomi Cooper, Group Environmental Officer, CRH, and Pauline McKiernan, Corporate Sustainability Manager,Ulster Bank on their experiences in 2013 and priorities for the year ahead.
On the day, the discussion will focus on the core topics of:
- Building the business case and measuring the impact of CR strategy
- Stakeholder engagement approaches
- External communications and integrated reporting
We are advised by the Department of Jobs, Enterprise & Innovation that the draft National Action Plan on CSR will be in the public domain for consultation over the coming week; the network meeting will be an opportunity to garner your feedback on this.
