As part of the 2013 BITCI series of workshops on Driving Innovation through Sustainable Procurement, an interactive workshop for utility & energy companies will take place at 1.30 pm on March 7, hosted by Bord Gáis Networks in their Services Centre in Finglas, Dublin 11.
Sarah Viazzi, Supply Chain Risk Manager for Centrica Plc will be our guest speaker. Centrica plc is a top 30 FTSE 100 company and has growing energy businesses in the UK and North America. Centrica secures and supplies gas & electricity for millions of homes and businesses, and offers a distinctive range of home energy solutions and low-carbon products & services.
Sarah leads the implementation of the Group Supply Chain Risk Framework to identify and manage strategic risks to the Centrica business – Health, Safety, Environment, Finance, Regulation & Reputation – through mitigations and controls to increase business resilience, reputation and win customer trust. She will be sharing how utilising a sustainability lens, a well-designed risk management and improved supplier-relationship management strategy has led Centrica to foster innovation in procurement and brought about a change in company culture.
Sarah has a Masters Degree in Management Engineering and is a Chartered Engineer with over 10 years experience in strategic sourcing projects in the public and private sector, both in the UK and worldwide, including very challenging environments such as Nigeria and Kazakhstan.
