Annual BITCI Members’ CEO Network Event

May 17, 2018

VENUE: The Merrion Hotel, Upper Merrion Street, Dublin 2

TIME: 6.30pm - 8pm

On May 17th, CEOs and Managing Directors of BITCI’s member companies will gather for the annual private networking event.

The 2018 forum, “Competitiveness at a crossroads”, brings together a much needed conversation on what will make Ireland a competitive economy in 2030 in terms of the transition to a low carbon economy, attracting and retaining talent and facilitating integration and cohesion across communities. Business will play a fundamental role in this transition and we need to understand the key drivers, opportunities and challenges.

We will feature a high level conversation on trust, business and the low carbon future with:

  • Gerard O’Neill, Chairperson, Amárach Research
  • John Sweeney, Emeritus Professor of Geography, Maynooth University

Other key speakers include:

  • Bernadette Lavery, Managing Director, Boots Ireland
  • Aidan Skelly, Interim CEO, EirGrid
  •  Alastair Blair, Country Managing Director, Accenture
  •  Sinead Patton, Regional Director, Northern Ireland and Chief Finance & Commercial Officer, Veolia

It is undeniable that business as usual scenarios will not deliver on the Paris Agreement and the Sustainable Development Goals and not achieving these targets will block Ireland’s competitiveness and greatly hinder businesses. It is also clear that rising up to these challenges requires significant transformation and collaboration.
