VENUE: Irish Distillers, Simmonscourt House, Simmonscourt Road, Ballsbridge, Dublin 4
TIME: 10.00am - 12.45pm (registration & networking from 09.30am)
This year marks four years since the United Nations member states unanimously agreed on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as a blueprint for peace and prosperity for people and planet by 2030.
Our SDG Workshop is designed to keep you updated on how business is responding and reporting on the Goals and the emerging sustainability trends affecting businesses. We will discuss and review global best practice how businesses are applying the SDG framework to their core strategy, driving innovation, reporting and communicating.
Through interactive teamwork you will become familiar with the goals and indicators which are important to help address the critical megatrends and how they relate to Ireland. We will focus on identifying the SDGs and indicators that are most aligned with your brand purpose and goals and work with you to integrate these into your organisational strategy, reporting and communication process.
Why you should attend
We are beginning to see new layers of regulation for reporting on the environment, human rights, climate change and governance. Governments and other stakeholders, such as customers, employees and civil society, will increasingly demand that Irish businesses articulate a position on these global goals.
Who should attend?
The course is aimed at CR/sustainability managers and people in associated roles who want to learn more about how sustainability issues are shaping their marketplace. These may include those in strategic roles, procurement/supply chain managers, environmental managers and marketers. Participants gain an understanding of the Sustainable Development Goals, latest thinking and current threats and opportunities, as well as an opportunity to network and discuss their own challenges with peers.
