VENUE: Bank of Ireland, Burlington Plaza, Burlington Rd, Dublin 2
TIME: 5.30pm - 7.15pm
We would like to invite you to a lively and engaging celebration of 10 years of the Business in the Community Ireland’s EPIC programme on the evening of Wednesday 5th December.
The EPIC programme (Employment for People from Immigrant Communities) harnesses the power of business to help migrants find employment.
Irish society is now very diverse – at least 14% of our population are citizens of another country or have become naturalized Irish citizens. They are our colleagues, friends, neighbours, employees and employers. However, though the job market is very strong, many migrants still face significant challenges finding employment and integrating into society. That is why the support of businesses for the EPIC programme has helped deliver impressive results.
Since 2008, EPIC has helped more than 2,000 people from over 100 countries to find employment or work-related training.
At the event, we will recognise the achievement of our recent EPIC graduates. We will also present certificates of thanks to the businesses and organisations who are such important supporters of the programme. There will be a panel discussion with EPIC graduates from different years, talking about their experiences, hosted by renowned Irish Times journalist, Sorcha Pollak.
Finally, our special guest of honour will be David Stanton T.D, Minister of State at the Department of Justice and Equality. Minister Stanton has special responsibility for Equality, Immigration and Integration.
We hope that our EPIC 10 year Celebration will be an interesting and enjoyable event and that you will be able to join us. If you would like to attend, please RSVP to firstname.lastname@example.org as soon as possible, and by Monday 26th November at the latest.
