Demystifying the Circular Economy

VENUE: Webinar

TIME: 11.00am - 12 noon

It is estimated that 60% of the global carbon emission reduction target could be met by transitioning from a linear economy (take/make/use/dispose) to a circular one. Transitioning to a more circular economy isn’t easy though. It requires significant change in product design, business models and consumer attitudes.

In September, the Irish Government updated its National Waste Management Policy to incorporate a more circular strategy. This was an important step to raise awareness of circular economy and to begin the work of transitioning Ireland away from a linear economic model.

This webinar will give attendees an opportunity to hear from our members who have already adopted circularity within their business models as well as an understanding of how the new action plan will facilitate positive change.

Confirmed Speakers include:

  • John Curran, Head of Sustainability, Musgrave Group
  • Brian Gilmore, Communications Manager, Irish Cement
  • Janet Lynch, Circular Economy Consultant, Arup
  • Declan White, Regional Director (South), Veolia Ireland
