Business Action on Employment: EPIC Graduation Ceremony

The ninth EPIC graduation ceremony will take place on Thursday October 26th in Bank of Ireland, 2 College Green, Dublin 2 (House of Lords Room). The latest participants of the EPIC Programme –Employment for People from Immigrant Communities- will graduate and David Stanton T.D, Minister of State at the Department of Justice and Equality will be guest of honor at the ceremony. Business in the Community Ireland works in partnership with leading businesses and the government to support immigrants to secure employment and further integrate into Irish society.

During the event business volunteers from key partner companies will speak about how they have engaged and provide supports to EPIC Programme clients. Also participants taking part in the services will share the challenges they face when seeking employment and why businesses play an essential role in supporting them.

Confirmed business speakers include: Shane Lauritsch – CPL, Bernadett Babcsan – Accenture, Magdalena Magrian – KPMG and Aaron Doran – Indeed.  Saydyko South from Russia and Mariana Cruz Finol from Venzuela will share their experiences and difficulties faced as immigrants settling in Ireland at the event.

More than 12% of our population were born outside Ireland and although the job market is improving steadily, many immigrants still face significant challenges finding employment and integrating into society. They need targeted support from businesses to help them on their journey to success.
