Tesco Ireland’s Community Engagement Policy

Tesco is one of the largest private sector employers in Ireland, with over 13,000 colleagues across the country. Tesco stores are at the heart of hundreds of communities across Ireland and we are committed to a strong Corporate Social Responsibility strategy which enables our colleagues across our 151 stores to have a meaningful impact in the communities we serve.

One of our three core values is ‘Every little help makes a big difference’ and we bring this to life for colleagues, customers and communities through:

– Our work to minimise food waste and our commitment to ensuring that no food which is suitable for human consumption will go to waste in its stores in Ireland by 2020.

– Our Tesco Community Fund which is our local community support programme providing thousands of good causes and local projects across Ireland with a donation every 8 eight weeks

– Our charity partner programme with our 5 year partner Temple Street Children’s University Hospital.
