Matheson’s Community Engagement Policy

Our community engagement is important to Matheson, reflecting our values and using our skills for the benefit of the local community. We provide learning and educational opportunities, fund raising, sponsorship and job readiness preparation to develop real life skills and help foster academic and career aspirations. Volunteers from the firm build relationships with our chosen organisations, creating a spirit of active engagement and partnership between Matheson and the organisations we support.

At Matheson, we want as many people as possible in the firm to contribute to making a real impact in our community. A diverse group of employees and partners representing a range of interests across the firm meet regularly to share ideas and initiatives on our community engagement and to promote and oversee our contribution to our charities of choice.

Matheson’s contribution to our local community is reflected on the Business Impact Map.  We have made substantial contributions to other charities during this time which are not disclosed here.

Matheson’s Impact in 2019

Matheson provided €83,104 in cash donations; €5,500 was contributed through in-kind donations and €45,704 was raised through employee fundraising. Employees also volunteered 2,841 hours to local groups and projects during the year.
