Fidelity Ireland’s CSR program enables our associates to make a long-term, positive difference in the communities where they live and work through volunteering opportunities and sharing their talents and skillsets. Through meaningful partnerships with selected organisations, we are focused on giving back to local communities and encouraging STEM education.
Fidelity is a long standing supporter of Junior Achievement Ireland with a relationship spanning over 15 years. Last year, 45 Fidelity volunteers delivered a number of JAI programs to primary and secondary schools across Dublin and Galway, connecting with over 1100 students.
In 2018, Fidelity Ireland launched a partnership with Scoil Bhride Secondary School in Tuam, to support them as they pilot the computer science leaving certificate curriculum. The partnership entails a multifaceted approach to supporting this all-girls school on its objective to increase the uptake in STEAM [science, technology, engineering, arts and maths].
In 2018, to help us give back to the communities that we live and work in, Fidelity Investments Ireland engaged in over 40 community activities across Ireland, including projects with ISPCC, Junior Achievement, DCU, NUIG and the Trinity Centre for People with Intellectual Disabilities. Through these community links, our employees gave 2,554 volunteer hours and fundraised €10,414, in addition to company support of €163,810 in cash donations and €89,000 worth of in-kind donations.
