Ulster Bank and Young Social Innovators Annual Awards

BITCI News - Jun 27, 2016

Ulster Bank launched a partnership with Young Social Innovators (YSI) in January. YSI believe that young people are a powerful force for change in their local communities and encourages, motivates and creates new opportunities for young people to actively participate in the world around them.

The annual YSI awards were held in City West Hotel, Dublin on 10 May. Over 6500 students got involved with the programme this year which resulted in them advocating and making positive changes in their local communities.  Their projects focussed on areas such as health, homelessness, domestic violence and bullying. The overall winners were Portmarnock Community School, Co Dublin with their project ‘Global Citizen’s Mapping the Future’ which aims to inspire greater global citizenship across the world.
