Business in the Community

Drawing on the success of previous BITCI conferences in 2006 and 2010, the 2014 one-day event that took place on 11th November, brought the CEOs and senior management of some of Ireland’s top companies together to discuss key trends in ethics, reputation and sustainability. The Responsible Business Forum presented leading and inspirational thinking from the world’s largest, most innovative companies and practical workshops on how trust, reputation and culture can be built with key stakeholders. Delegates had access to cutting edge content on CR and sustainable practices and the opportunity to hear from and be inspired by thought and corporate leaders, whose focus was not only on successes but also on lessons learned.

Videos of all the panel sessions will be available from next week. In the meanwhile hear the radio interview on Drivetime with some of speakers from the day Lloyd Burdett from the Futures Company, Geoff McDonald former HR VP Unilever, Tom Browne CEO Friends First, Carmel McQuaid M&S and Edel Clancy the Musgrave Group.

Commenting on the conference our CEO Tina Roche, CEO said

“We are delighted with the outcome of BITCI’s third major corporate responsibility conference. Drawing on over a decade’s experience, BITCI have witnessed first-hand a real sea change in the attitudes of Irish companies towards trust and reputation, with many companies using responsible business practices as the cornerstone of their strategic and sustainable planning for the future. The conference was a unique opportunity to explore how companies can transform to sustainable businesses by placing corporate responsibility firmly on their business agenda. It also reinforced the importance of sustainable business practices in the current business climate.”
