Job Shadow Day at Janssen Pharmaceutical & Janssen Biologica
Job Shadow Day is a national project organised in conjunction with the Cope Foundation and the Irish Association of supported Employment (IASE).
Janssen Pharmaceutical and Janssen Biological, in conjunction with their Diversity and Inclusion teams, were delighted to participate in the day.
The purpose of the initiative was to bring people with disabilities and local employers, such as Janssen, together for 1 day to promote equal employment opportunities and highlight the valuable contribution people with disabilities can and do make at work. The Job Shadow day was a chance for participants of the initiative Daniel and Adrian to talk to employees at Janssen about their work, career opportunities in the company. Daniel and Adrian were also given the opportunity to explore the world of work by shadowing someone in the workplace as they go about their normal working day.
