Business in the Community Ireland in partnership with Sodexo Ireland are holding a business breakfast to discuss gender equality issues in the workplace.
The event will be hosted by Margot Slattery, newly appointed Managing Director of Sodexo Ireland. Since 2010 Margot has chaired Sodexo UK & Ireland’s female employees’ network, WomenWork.
The barriers to mainstreaming gender equality in the workplace lie in deeply rooted social, cultural and psychological behaviours. Crucially, unconscious bias seems to be the most challenging barrier that most companies share.
This event is open to members of Business in the Community Ireland and may be of particular interest to HR professionals.
We will be joined on the day by a panel of experts to help set the scene, including Dr Kara McGann from the Irish Business and Employers’ Confederation (IBEC) and Tina Roche, CEO of Business in the Community. The event will however be mostly about participation through roundtable discussions with senior peers across a range of sectors.
RSVP to firstname.lastname@example.org by Wednesday, 21st November with dietary preferences as appropriate.
