Announcement of new CEO at Business in the Community Ireland
We are delighted to announce that Tomás Sercovich has been appointed as the new CEO of Business in the Community Ireland (BITCI) and will join from January 3rd, 2018. Tomás worked with BITCI between 2003 and 2012 where he headed up our membership services and helped to create the Business Working Responsibly mark, the only independently audited standard for CSR and sustainability in Ireland.
In 2012, Tomás joined Forética, Spain’s largest network on corporate social responsibility, where he took over the role of Director of Communications to steer the strategic development of the communications and public affairs brief of the association, which included several high-level events and a strong positioning in social media. He subsequently became Director of External Affairs, with the aim of increasing the international profile of the organisation and its external reputation and impact.
He speaks regularly at conferences at forums and teaches on sustainability in Europe and Latin America. Tomás is also a Board member of CSR Europe since 2008. Tomas holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations from Universidad de Belgrano in Argentina and a Master’s degree in International Relations and International Management from the Università di Bologna in Italy.
Tomás will start formally on January 3rd, 2018 and Tina Roche will remain as CEO up to that date.
