December 2008: BITCI member ACCBank announce flagship community programme with Barnardos

Business in the Community Ireland is delighted that BITCI member ACCBank and Rabobank have announced their flagship community programme with Barnardos. As part of their Corporate Giving Programme, ACCBank and Rabobank will be funding Barnardos ‘Little Foot Forward' programme. This programme supports children in preparing them for school and working with them and their parents to build a structure around education designed at ensuring they stay in the education system and break the cycle of poverty. ACCBank and Rabobank announced their support of the ‘Little Foot Forward' programme internally to all staff with an online campaign and plan to launch it externally in the new year. BITCI is delighted to be able to share their online campaign on our website. We hope that by showcasing this excellent example of best practice in corporate responsibility communication that it will inspire business in Ireland to promote and communicate their own responsible business activities.
