August 2008: National Fundraising Awards opens for nominations

The Inaugural National Fundraising Awards is now excepting nominations online at www.fundraisingawards.ie.

The National Fundraising Awards has been established by The Wheel, Fundraising Ireland and sponsored by Vodafone Ireland Foundation to give recognition to the profession of fundraising, and to recognise exceptional achievement within Ireland's fundraising community.

Any charitable organisation, which has a CHY number in Ireland, and which is independently governed, or any individual who works with such an organisation may be nominated in one or more of the following three categories: Best Community/Volunteer Fundraiser, Fundraising Campaign of the Year and Fundraiser of the Year. The closing date for receipt of applications is Friday, 29 August 2008.

The winners of the Nationational Fundraising Awards will be announced during a special ceremony at Dublin's Four Seasons Hotel on Tuesday, 30 September 2008.
