What is a Chamber of Commerce?
A chamber of commerce is an organisation made up of local business representatives who join together to promote the economic and social development of their community in order to make it a better place in which to live, work and do business. Chambers vary in size and may be staffed or operated on a voluntary basis. All chambers will have a president at the helm but not all have a chief executive. Volunteer chambers have an honorary council that runs the chamber in its spare time.
