JOB VACANCY: EVENT ADMINISTRATOR

The role of Events Administrator is to assist in the coordination and delivery of the BITCI network events programme. The role is based in Dublin city centre and some travel within Ireland may be required. The role reports to the Assistant Manager of our Membership Services Team.

Responsibilities

  • Support the planning and delivery of our programme of events
  • Source and liaise with venues, manage logistics and work with suppliers
  • Manage the invitation process, prepare event materials and post event evaluations
  • Manage the smooth running of events and interface with event attendees
  • Liaise with Marketing team on social media around events
  • Internal reporting on outcomes of events
  • Support the administration of internal events and team meetings.
  • Maintain database of key contacts
  • Desk-based research and general team support
  • Such other duties as may be required from time to time.

Competencies

  • Interest and understanding of business issues and how they relate to the corporate social responsibility and sustainability agenda.
  • A high level of proficiency in the range of Microsoft Office programmes e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Proficient knowledge in IT and database applications such as Microsoft Dynamics CRM.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Good telephone manner.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Flexibility and the ability to manage a varied workload.
  • Fluency in English, both written and verbal is required.
  • Good writing skills.

Qualifications

  • Qualification in Event Management/Administration
  • 1-2 years previous experience in event management
